Ronan Gillespie – Associate Consultant, Bullseye Food Marketing:
Ronan Gillespie an experienced business coach and mentor.
Ronan’s area of expertise is the international drinks business.
Since 2007 Ronan has been a member of the team of advisers and coaches used by Dublin Institute of Technology (DIT) on its Enterprise Ireland funded International Selling Programme.
He was also a coach on DIT’s FÁS funded SalesWISE programme from 2007 to 2009.
In addition to being a member of the Enterprise Ireland Mentor Network, Ronan has mentored a number of companies on Irish Exporters Association business development programmes, such as Channel Clusters, True Marketing, and Celtic Recipes.
Ronan’s experience includes 16 years in the international drinks business with Irish Distillers Pernod Ricard, where he played a major role in the success of Jameson Irish Whiskey, which saw a four-fold increase in brand sales, over that time period. Having progressed through the ranks to the position of Regional Director Developing Markets, with a team of 5 direct reports, Ronan had overall responsibility for sales development, profit, and the successful implementation of Jamesons marketing strategy. The Jameson marketing strategy was rolled out at various stages, in a number of significant markets in Europe, and throughout the Americas, Asia, Africa and Australia.
His last role in Irish Distillers Pernod Ricard was Business Development Director (International).
His worldwide experience has been gained from travelling to more than 40 different countries on business.
Ronan is a very strategic individual with broad business experience. He is energetic and has a reputation for delivering results. His key skills are in finding appropriate solutions through taking initiative, planning, negotiating, project management, and people and resource management.
He holds a B.A. (hons.) in International Marketing & Languages from Dublin City University, and speaks French, German, Italian and Spanish.
